Frequently Asked Questions

  • A string quartet is typically comprised of 2 violins, 1 viola, and 1 cello. We offer string quartet services as well as other types of ensembles.

  • Any! While we are classically-trained musicians, we offer a wide array of classical, modern, folk, movie, and worship music. Have you ever dreamt of walking down the aisle to your favorite song? We can make it happen! Visit our Repertoire pages and video gallery for examples of music we can perform.

  • Yes! If you have a specific request, we will learn one custom arrangement free of charge. If you have more than one request, there will be an additional fee for every extra song. Contact us for more info.

  • We would be happy to help you select music for your special day! Here’s a list of wedding ceremony suggestions. Once you book us, we’ll help you curate a playlist that fits you and your partner’s musical styles. We’ll also provide you with a list of “tried and true” songs that we’ve played for many events.

  • If you’re interested in incorporating other instruments into our ensemble (i.e. bass, flute, piano, harp, singer, etc.), let us know. We may be able to accommodate your request.

  • Absolutely! We can work with them to select music before your event. We will need to rehearse with them on the day of the event. Please contact us for more details and pricing.

  • Yes, but weather plays an important factor. Our instruments are made out of wood and are affected by precipitation, humidity, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures. We may ask for certain accommodations in order to avoid damaging our instruments and to provide you with the highest sound quality possible. We’ll need to be positioned in a shaded area. If there’s precipitation or direct sunlight, we will need an alternative provision (i.e. a tent or covered area). We can’t play outdoors if the temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. With that being said, we have played for many outdoor events and will work with you to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch!

  • Each musician will need an armless chair. We may require special provisions if your wedding is outdoors or in a venue that is not temperature-controlled (see Question #7).

  • One of our musicians can attend your rehearsal for an additional fee. However, in most cases, it is not necessary for us to attend the rehearsal. We have performed for many different weddings and venues and are accustomed to adjusting the pace and timing of the music as needed.

On your wedding day, we will arrive about 30 minutes before our performance time to set up and verify ceremony cues. During the processional, we will need someone (usually a wedding coordinator) to provide us cues as the wedding party members make their entrances.

  • Our musicians based out of northern Virginia. Venues within a 30-mile round-trip distance from our musicians will not have a travel fee. Further venues will require an extra fee, which we’ll calculate once we know your venue address and the type of ensemble you want to hire. Any tolls or parking fees will need to be covered by the client.

  • We do not expect to be tipped, although it is highly appreciated if it happens!

  • We offer a 10% discount to teachers, military, and first responders. We appreciate all of your hard work and service!

We occasionally offer other promotions. The best way to find out about our deals is to follow us on Instagram.

  • We will wear formal black attire unless otherwise requested.
